The project "Sunset", 2011
The project "Sunset" is a series of paintings: "Couch potatoes," "Waiting for the bus," "Hobos’ party», «Who's there?", "No one came." All paintings are knit together by one thing - "Sunset" in various interpretations of the word, more like the lives of people living on the bottom of the social layer of society. These people's lives are like winter sunset, dashed all the hopes and dreams, of course, if one of them ever dreamed at all; probably the only dreamer of all the characters - an artist from the painting "No one came." His former glory is gone, and whether it was real, whether it was Art or he just did his job for the needs of the public? No one came at the opening of his exhibition. We can also see friends drinking comfortably who do not care what has happened to their lives, because what is happening outside is even worse; passenger waiting for the bus at sunset; the homeless - their get-together, a kind of ship that sails, and soon will sink, and Moscow skyscraper stands behind as a symbol of a very different life; alcoholic who drinks at night when no one sees him.
Series of paintings "The Seven Deadly Sins / Rainbow", 2010
The main idea of a series of paintings "The Seven Deadly Sins / Rainbow" - a series of art-stories on Russian reality, in particular Russian province, where people live their lives, never imagining that somewhere it is quite different - wonderful, interesting, diverse; there are large and beautiful cities, the seas and oceans, countries with rich history and culture. All men are sinners – both rich and poor. The series show the sins revealed against the background of everyday life and problems of loneliness of people forgotten by society, and although the author not always shows them in the best way, but still, as if trying to remind us of them. Series has a double name "Seven Deadly Sins" and "Rainbow" because each painting has its own undertone of the rainbow. There are seven colors of the rainbow, as well as in the list of sins there are seven of them. According to the plan every sin has its own color of the rainbow. Each picture also has a double name. The first name - sin itself, the second name - the story itself. The concept of the series "Seven Deadly Sins / Rainbow" - is not a part of Christian doctrine, but merely serves as a method of describing the sinfulness of mankind.
Painting "Provincial Humdrum", 2010
The grunge attitude and colourless existence of the province pushes local residents for diversity and aggression. The picture shows an intelligent man expecting trouble from hooligans who do not have enough money for vodka. For these guys, there is no future, they do not expect anything, except how to take the money and hit someone's face for a change. And in the background of the picture is a train to a large city and intelligent man wants to jump into the car and sped away away, but he can not, he has got accustomed to humiliation and pain, it has become routine in his life.
The project "Orange Life", 2009
This project primaraly reflects not only depressive but at the same time optimisticaly bright attitude to life. Grey, daily routinous situations resonate with bright orange spot, which appears at each picture. (The number of images also mirrors the general idea of the project: we are given birth after nine months; in Christian tradition the soul meets God in nine days after death. From the beginning till the end we are accompanied by incompatible things, which still always go together - life and death, pedestrianism and bright emotions, etc.).
The pictures make composition in the specified order, where the fifths image ("Life Lines") is the central one and unites eventful lines of the plot:
1. "A Man with Orange Umbrella". (Intention for beeing distinctive, independant and self-sufficient, to follow his own way).
2. "An Autumn Morning". (Lonlyness in the City).
3. "On a Subway Platform". (Indifference of people around).
4. "First Date". (Love is not around. About internal and external beauty).
5. "Life Lines". (The central one linking the plot of all the pictures. Someone may see here a direct pointing at the location of the stories, somekind of a city map; someone may see a metaphorical hint on the fact that each bright life line has the crossing with grey event-lines; someone may see parallels with life lines of Megapolice).
6. "Oranges". (Beauty of the tragedy).
7. "Glamour". (Two sides. Two halves of the whole).
8. "Adultery" (Bitter, sometimes dirty, but often routinous).
9. "Happy New Year!"
