Exhibition OF /LIFE (V. Zhdanov, K. Gorokhov, V. Golubev) Panopticon in INUTERO (Moscow)
Exhibition opening: August 11, 2011, 19:30
Panopticon INUTERO presents the exhibition "FOR /LIFE," which was attended by the artists Vyacheslav Zhdanov, K. Gorokhov and Golubev. This exhibition is an experiment, an attempt to unite the seemingly quite dissimilar artists, united by one common theme-the theme of Russian life.
Once treatment of artists to everyday life has become a new word in Russian art and approved it in a lot of great names. Vanguard then occupied by the formal problems downstream of life barely touched. Socialist realism is its ideological and idealized, and underground artists, by contrast, often thickened its unattractive side. Gradually, the majority of professional artists, immersed in the picturesque and the problems involved mostly landscapes, still lifes and portraits, life was just one of those occasional spectacular. Only a rare master put him in something more than just a beautiful painting. There are artists, and today, the so-called postmodern era. These are the artists and Zhdanov, Gorokhov and Golubev
Away from school, academics, and individual artists, dedicated by the picturesque material for many years having evidence of final and irrevocable death of painting (how many times she had already died, but now it seems the story is really coming to an end). Painting by Vyacheslav Zhdanov, Vasily Golubev and Catherine Gorokhovaya located in this area. Returning to nature - not declared by the proximity to her, ending artificial, contrived compositions and poses lozhnoklassitsisticheskimi models - a close study of figures, the provisions of the dynamics of light and shadow, the object - the basis of their art - and by changing optics, and can be changed circumstances of the life-world, artists are not the unity - the canvases resemble a broken toy, clumsily assembled puzzle. This is just competent evidence that any continuous objective space no longer exists, it is destroyed to date of human thinking machine, it recognized a non-existent and it seems ridiculous, when the artist tries to rebuild.
Net dynamics of human expression, executed outside the traditions of schools and movements, beyond the influence of authority, helpless, self-expression better than the traumatic effect the outcome of the search in the space of painting will be presented in a freak show at the exhibition INUTERO "FOR /LIFE" from 12 to 30 August.

The first solo exhibition of Vyacheslav Zhdanov
"Orange life and other shades of modernity" 02.04.10 - 15.04.10 (Showroom "Dream Police", Moscow)
Opening of the exhibition: April 2, 2010, at 18:30
The first solo exhibition of Vyacheslav Zhdanov, which shows a series of nine paintings "Orange Life" and other paintings, reflecting contemporary Russian reality. Series "Orange Life" shows in the first place, both depressive and iridescent attitude towards life. Gray, everyday situations are interrupted by a bright orange spot, which is in each of the nine paintings. (The number of paintings also represents the general idea of the series: we are born 9 months, 9 days after the death of the Christian tradition the soul before God. From the beginning to the end we accompany incompatible things, which nevertheless always there - life and death, dullness and vivid emotions.).
The main idea of the project - an unusual representation of reality through color and story. Unlike some of his colleagues, make a bet on the game with the prospect, the author tries to use the pictures in his works an entirely different set of tools. He plays with colors child's play "hot-cold". The author focuses on the personal associations of viewers who do not have any relation to the standard notions of warm and cool colors.
Feature artist - writing is not a single picture with a certain subject, and the whole plot of the series, at least a diptych or triptych.
Much attention in his work Vyacheslav pays a poor stratum of Russian society with its social problems - alcoholism, drug addiction, poverty, difficult situations. Anyone who wants to see in these works only hopelessness, can certainly do just that. Often, however, this is a story about the routine problems and tragedies of the "little man", sometimes with a note of optimism.

The theme of the contest - "Antiquity: Archaeology meanings"
Ancient culture, as we know, a significant and fundamental phenomenon in European history and art, which, in spite of centuries of distance, continues to exert a strong influence on contemporary art process. We know sometimes better Antiquity own national culture, remember the mythology and history, to understand the periods of art, thought ancient images and find in them the impulse to create their own. Greco-Roman art school for us, and all associated with the time of discipleship, we sometimes want to deny and destroy, we are trying to reverse its "classical past", its harmony, clarity and beauty. But be sure to come back, making his small personal renaissance.
Competition task allows a wide range of interpretations and interpretations of ancient subjects. It is important that in the competitive project arose a personal relationship, the experience of antiquity.
Style, technique, format works authors choose their own.
Preference is given to paintings and graphic works.
